Off-Site Impact Evaluation
An institution was enforced as of January 1, 2015 for a business site who wanted to install and operate a system to handle hazardous chemical substances to prepare and submit an off-site impact evaluation to the Minister of the Ministry of Environment. KUMKANG Engineer was designated as a professional agency to prepare the off-site impact evaluation for the first time in Chungnam as of April 9, 2015 to have conducted relevant consulting.
Composition Elements
  • The off-site impact evaluation (hereinafter, “Evaluation”) is composed of basic evaluation information, off-site evaluation information, and relevant information to other laws
    • The basic evaluation information consists of necessary basic data to implement the off-site evaluation such as the types and amount of chemical substances to handle, the hazard information, and the process safety of handling facility
    • The information of off-site evaluation includes the plan to secure the safety by checking potential risk of system and facility that handle hazardous chemical substances to select a scenario for the worst accident or an alternative scenario and conducting an evaluation of the impact on the outside of the business site.
    • The relevant information to other laws includes the applicability of relevant laws and ordinances which must be reviewed for the installation of corresponding system and facility.
